Mini and cupcakes

We love cakes and do not know anyone who doesn´t …Wedding cake is a highlight of the wedding reception, so the cooperation between the flower and cake designer is a must.

Many people choose  individual cakes or cupcakes and we are bringing a few inpirations for you, hope you wil enjoy it.

Sweet day from Andrea

Polina and Jamie

What a lovely couple! We really miss their emails, full of positive energy. Polina and Jamie met in Prague, where they spent a few months by studying law. This was also main reason why to come back and get married here.

Couple came to Prague together with Jamie´s parents at spring 2013 to choose their venue. They falled in love with Mandarin Oriental and decided to have there both ceremony and reception. Also many guests stayed there, so the logistic was easy.

Polina was born far away – in Siberia and her family and many guests live there. The ice blue colour ad crystals was ideal theme, we just added white flowers and manzanitta trees with crystals, that were used for both ceremony and reception.

Polina´s mum made for ladies lovely blue handgloves, which were decorated by bride (crystals) and for men mug wraps, also in blue colour. Originally we planned to put these gifts on a separate table, but it looked much better on the tables, used as a name tag.

Ceremony was amazing – full of love and emotions, our cameraman was excited! Laugh, tears, seriousness, in so many looks. Ceremony was performed in English and translated into russian, so everyone could understand.

We were lucky with the weather and could spend cocktail in the garden. Polina and Jamie brought their photogrpaher from Russia and Alex made really amazing job. After the cocktail couple left for photosession and guests took a little break.

We met again at 5 in the afernoon at the Monastery hall, where parents welcomed newlyweds by karavai – russian tradition where the bread with salt is presented to the coule – and both bride and groom had to take a bite. Plus we added czech tradition – to break the plate for a good luck and prosperity.

Speaches took a while, many people wanted to express their wishes to the couple. Everyone enjoyed lovely meal and then was already time for the first dance. Additional lighting in blue colour helped to create dancing atmosphere.

Many DIY projects surprised us at the wedding – the gloves, mug wraps, as well as magazine couple created for their guests (love the story about me :-) ), inserted into bags with their logo, golf cup again with logo and couple´s names – but big surprise was sketch Polina made for their wedding cake. She could easily do this for a living :-) . The cake looked exatcly as on this sketch, which made us very happy.

Later in we served canapees and not too late after the midnight couple said good bye to everyone.

This year was not that bussy as the other years for me, I spent lot of time by travelling (last chance before our Amelie started to go to school), but the clients were really amazing. We will never forgot and maybe one day will run marathon together with Polina :-) .

Enjoy pictures done by AlexSkachkov and video by Leos Brabec, Primetimevideo. And big thanks to Inspirito for flowers and DJ Jirka.

Sincerely yours Andrea
