Villa Richter

Richter Villa (a classicist summerhouse from 1836) is an integral part of the St Wenceslas Vineyard, which dominates the area above the Old Castle Steps. The whole complex of the St Wenceslas Vineyard and Richter Villa is rounded off by a panorama of Prague Castle. And this is what we like about this place – you can choose from many combinations where the ceremony, cocktail and reception is gonna be and play with colours. Pale blush tones, dark chocolate, lila – all looks perfect.

Villa has 2 floors:
Piano Nobile
Elite Restaurant – considered a jewel of gastronomy among our restaurants, it is aimed at high gastronomy. They provide an unusual culinary experience to the true connoisseurs not only at the traditional Villa staterooms, that bring about a feeling of coziness and a an unobtrusive charm of the “old times” with wonderful views from the windows, but also in a unique greenhouse with a ceiling decoration showing a grapevine motif.
Piano Terra
Medium type restaurant that in its staterooms located on the ground floor of the impressive Villa Richter as well as on the terraces belonging to the Villa offers rare views of the Lesser Town, but also New town. Above the rooftops of the Old Town they offer visitors traditional specials of the home – Czech cuisine, including true pastry and bakery delicacies according to their grandmas’ recipes, prepared by amazing bakers and pastry makers.

Panorama Pergola
A scenic overlook restaurant under pergola, built directly into the slope of the renovated St. Wenceslas’ Vineyard with unrivaled views of the Old Town is focused on offering tastings of wines from Bohemia and Moravia. It is complemented by a light gastronomy and specials for the moments when you are sitting over a “tasting glass”.
The other thing we like there – food is always tasty and the staff is really friendly and professional, which is important.

Horse Park Kamenny Dvur

Recently we visited unique placed calle Horse Park Park Kamenný dvur, situated in picturesque countryside near Dobris city. There used to be Bukov castle’s farm, which belonged to Colloredo-Mansfelf family. There are many romantic spots and charming views surrounding the facility which are ideal for wedding shoots.

A modern riding center was built up in its place and now offers horses stabling in spacious box stalls with 24/7  high quality care, a riding school and four riding-halls with commodious facilities for riders and comfortable accommodation. The Horse Park is not just a place to house your horse and rest in a beautiful environment close to the center of Prague but is also the perfect place to organize weddings.

The farm dates back to 1879 which was carved into the beam of The Špejchar, required detailed reconstruction and incorporated modern elements into the original historical building and surrounding greenery. An aged mulberry (a unique one in Příbram region) and a poplar tree grow in front of the main gates. The preserved brick arches in the stable shape box stalls that excel in their superior size. The stone Špejchar works as a lounge and The Big Club will surprise you with its view of the countryside…

Ceremonies are held in the center of the Kamenný Dvůr in the square-shaped courtyard of the riding park, next to the symbolic statue of The Rider created by the sculptor Michal Gabriel.

The Horse Park Kamenný Dvůr also offers the inside premises, where you can organize a wedding reception or a party for your friends. If you wish to have one large wedding table you may prefer the Big Club, which will fascinate you with its charming old English atmosphere.

If you prefer a more informal atmosphere than there is the authentic renovated Špejchar with an open grill.

There are eleven double rooms including two luxury apartments, that are perfectly created for an unforgettable wedding night.

We really like this place!

The Augustine

We recently organised wedding at The Augustine and were absolutelly excited! Centrally located in the historic Malá Strana (Little Quarter) neighbourhood, The Augustine hotel, reflects Prague’s history, character and beauty. The hotel complex, incorporating functioning monastery, St. Thomas Church, lovingly restored frescoed chambers and intimate courtyard cloisters ringed with ancient oaks and greenery, blends a spiritual sense of place with the art of simple luxury.

Crucially, The Augustine is able to offer to the wedding parties both privacy and flexibility. Housed within a single historic complex of interwoven buildings and gardens, The Augustine can offer ceremonies at St. Thomas Church, a number of options for elegant garden cocktail receptions and ballroom functions for up to 160 diners as well as unique cubist-design accommodation for the incoming wedding party. The unique bridal chamber of The Augustine, The Tower Suite is located in the original tower of the monastery, spread over three floors and featuring unparalleled 360° views over the whole of Prague, from Castle to Old Town.

Natasha and Danijel

We love weddings, no doubt. Some clients became our close friends during  those 13 years in business. And one of them will definitelly be Natasha. You do not see often such a nice personality, being always  positive and happy and look so good and chic!

Photo: Stepan Vrzala

Natasha is half Brasilian and half British, her husband Danijel is form Croatia, but both live in Prague. We got in touch in Dec last year, but met for the first time in January and already at the first meeting there was great connection.

Natasha likes nice things and she had in mind Mandarin Oriental from the beginning of our communication. Both with her fiance Danijel wanted to have all under one roof,  so we planned ceremony in the garden, followed by cocktail there. Wedding reception should originally take place also in the garden, under the tent, but later on we made a change and moved the dinner inside the Grand Ballroom.  Especially Natasha´s mum loved the ballroom.

We met Natasha every month personally, she is quite bussy and travels a lot, but all our meetings were so nice – Natasha has such a great sence of humour.

Photo: Stepan Vrzala

As usual, flowers were really important and originally we were thiking about ombre or mint style, but since Natasha loves olives, we came to olive and pink colour scheme. Must for Natasha was a crown she worn in the evening reception.

Photo: Stepan Vrzala

We knew that the number of guests won´t be really big, around 30, so decided not to have any huge party in the evening, but enjoy nice dinner and listen good music. Natasha knows very tallented singer, who plays bosanova etc, which was  great option for Brasil guests.  And string quartet performed over the ceremony and during the cocktail, starting with classical music, continuing with brasil and croatioan songs, movie and musical mellodies. Guests loved them!

Tallented hair and make-up artist arrived from Budapest  – Natasha´s parents live there and bride knows this lady for a long time. She was really good.

Photos were taken by amazing Stepan Vrzala, he captured many of our weddings and we are always pleased, his pictures are having charm, romance and style. For a cameraman Natasha decided for Marek Sodoma, who made also excellent job.

Mandrin Oriental has Classical chairs with chair covers, but we wanted something else, more chic, so rented transparent glass chairs from Kartell, which were used for a ceremony and reception as well. Looked really cool.

Cake – there was again no discussion – Natasha and Danijel love mascarpone cream cake with fresh strawberries from Bake shop. They added lovely fondan flowers on it and lady who made sweets for the sweet bar prepared also 2 little dogs, copies of Natasha and Danijel´ lovely dogs they have at home. Sweet bar included also cupcakes, cookies and cake pops, within wedding colours.

To create something special, we made fans for the guests they could use over the ceremony. There was printed olive tree o one side and on the other was Order of service with the names of all attendees. We made also wedding invitations,  menus, names on little hearts in the glasses and signs for the sweet bar, all again in pink and olive colour.

Natasha looked so pretty on the day, her Pronovias dress was just fab. Danijel looked very relaxing as well and sun was shining from the morning. Guests arrived 30 min before the ceremony to enjoy a drink and Natasha was getting ready.

Photo: Stepan Vrzala

String quartet played song for the procession – Danijel and his mum, the second song was already for bride and her father, so romantic! Ceremony was about 20 min long and the priest made everyone not only cry, but also smile. Bossanova for the recesion was beginning of all celebrations.

After 90 min guests move inside the Grand ballroom, where they started with the speaches and then band already commenced. For the special atmosphere we used external lights in pink colour.

Menu was delicious, focused mainly on veggie cuisine:

Tomato soup with ricotta cheese & basil

Main course

Grilled salmon steak sautéed spinach & potatoes au gratin or Pad Thai Noodles with Tofu or Vegetarian kebab tomato curry and curd rice

Couple enjoyed their first dance and all other guests took a chance to spent a while on the dance floor with the newlyweds.

Party was over before midnight  and it was great summer night.

We wish to Natasha and Danijel, lots of love, being still so positive and happy and good luck with their move to another country.

It was the best day of my life!! & everything went perfect & so so so beautiful. It was magical and I feel God did the perfect weather for us (its super cold in Prague now). Dear Andrea,

I do not know how to put into words how magical my wedding was. I am simply still speechless.. If you look back at January when we met – and I was all nervous and almost wanted to have a wedding Danijel and I. You must be smiling inside.. because you were right.. !! You knew me better then I knew myself. You made my dream become reality. (Just like in the wedding invitation). I LOVED getting married.. every single second of the day was perfect.. I will keep this day, this memory in my heart forever and it was all because of you. I just wanted to tell you how thankful I am.. and how special you are to me (always). You made me feel like your only bride & I secretly think my wedding was the most beautiful.. ;-) Do you have a lot of weddings at the moment? I imagine you must be quite busy.. Please know, if you have a bride who was nervous like me – you are welcome to put her in touch with me.

Lots of love (& hope to see you soon),

Natasha

P.s. I loved your blog entry today – I was lookin at pics all day.. cant believe that was my wedding
