a)      Vintage and ultra-romantic bridal bouquets – was a big fashion last year and this trend still continues. Colours are soft such as cream, ivory, white, light pink, or lavender, using big blooms like hydrangeas, peonies, anemones or gardenias. Create wow effect by adding vintage brooche, pearls or lace.

Wedding cake trends 2013

Wedding Cake Trends for 2013

Every year brings new ideas and design and we are always looking forward to see what our brides like and dream about.

We looked a bit into the design of wedding cakes for coming season, so relax and take a few minutes to get inspired.

a) The vintage style is still popular and with mint colour looks fab. Should you combine it with pastel yellow, it will create amazing look. Mint doesn´t have to be used only in colour, you can incorporate it into the cake itself (choc-mint f.e.)

Stacy and Justin

Winter charm in Prague

Hi!

My fiance and I are eloping in late February.  We have been researching and fell in love with Prague.  We would like to have a symbolic ceremony to save us the trouble of all the extra paperwork.  We are both US citizens.  It will only be the two of us, no guests.  Any information you could give me would be great.  Thanks!

Stacy and Justin

This is how the story of Stacy and Justin began in December 2011.Nice couple who just wanted to avoid all the stress connected with the paperwork and organising big wedding. Not all couples come to Prague with their family and friends, every year there are also many who just prefer intimate ceremony, followed by romantic candlelight dinner. They very often do not spend just wedding day in Prague, but also connect it with the honeymoon, either in the Czech Republic or anywhere else in Europe.

Symbolic wedding is easy – no paperwork, no rules, it can be arranged basically anywhere and anytime. Just the venue for Stacy and Justin had to be inside, as the weather in February really isn´t that pleasant. Stacy and Justin wished to have snow white wedding, but they knew it might not work…

Couple decided for Powder tower – what a romance! Located in the city centre, just few minutes walk from the Old Town Square, this medieval tower is perfect for intimate ceremony. February 28th at 1.00 p.m. was settled, so nothing was against their romance.

As the ceremony was symbolic, couple created together with their planner nice Order of service, adjusted special tho their wishes. They didn´t forget to mention how they met, how deep is their love and also write their own vows.

Couple arrived to Prague 3 days before the wedding day, to have enough time for meeting with their planner, hair and make-up trial and also to explore Prague.

Stacy has lovely curly hair, so it was a pleasure for the hair stylist to create elegant hairdo. With a simple make-up she looked just fab. Winter time misses all the summer colours, so colourful bouquet was a great idea how to make a day more bright. For Justin florist made buttonhole from the same flowers.

Limo escorted couple from their apartment and short before 1.00 p.m. arrived to the Powder tower. There are many narrow steps leading to the first floor, so couple rather used the entrance from Municipal house – much more comfortable and already no the way photographer did capture a few lovely shots.

Ceremony was very romantic and intimate. After first song played by organs officiator began his speach at the ceremony table, which was decorated by candles and flowers, the same as in the bouquet. Officiator´ speach, „I do“ and first kiss, followed by a toast of traditional Bohemia sparkling wine, took around 20 minutes. Organist played last recessional song and couple started with the photosession.

It was very cold and unfortunatelly rainy outside, so many pictures were taken inside the tower in both floors, but it was a must to use the small terrace connecting Powder tower with the Municipal house.

Later on was already time to leave the tower. The rain was almost over and couple with the photographer walked through Celetna street to the Old Town Square. Everyone loves pictures from the historical centre of Prague, Stacy and Justin weren´t any exception. But it started to rain again, so last pictures were done unusually in metro station.

Evening couple spent at restaurant V Zatisi, where they really enjoyed romantic candlelight dinner. Next day spent also in Prague and later on continued to another european cities for their honeymoon.

Wedding of Stacy and Justin was a great sample that not only summer creates atmosphere and even when it rains you can have true romance.

PS: Stacy and Justin got married legally on the beach in California few days after the arrival back to the US :-) .
